Wow! What an incredible place! The building on top of the escarpment is a Greek orthadox church monastery. If you want to visit here, stay in Kastraki, there you are close to the monastery and can hike Mt Olympus. The word 'Meteora' means 'suspended in the air' - never was a name more apt!
