Top travel tips
- Don't be scared about what you hear about a particular place - see for yourself.
- If you are taking gifts to break the ice with local communities, don't take things that will not decompose naturally (plastic etc..)
- Photocopy your passport and keep a scan available online
- Brush your teeth with bottled water
- Try to see your food being cooked if you are concerned about hygeine
- Check out beds before you pay
- Take loads of photos
- Don't be afraid of public transport
